Yay lerk!

as far as the ability list looks so far, no umbra or primal. their still looking to put one more alt fire on their spore clouds. lerks come with Spike, Spore, and Roost, where they hang upside down like a bat. the alt fire to spike is snipe, which they plan on making a marine stick to a wall if hes close enough. Spore is sporegas from original ns.

so thats that, no primal biting lerks. sad day. Lerk specific upgrades are piercing spikes and increased adrenaline recuperation. check out http://www.unknownworlds.com for more info and a video.

bullshit that a lerk cannot bite. He has a mouth like all other beast. I'm still not happy they release so little info. Its like they are only now making progres on the models and stuff. They are so quiet about an alpha version.

actually I got a e-mail saying this:

We also wanted to let you know we're starting engine testing with the people who have pre-ordered the Special Edition. This is not a demo or an alpha but is an engine test, meant to test graphics, networking, performance, compatibility, etc. It also includes the full scripting tools so coders can start experimenting.

Over 10,000 people pre-ordered Natural Selection 2. We don't want to be overwhelmed with bug reports so we're starting out small. Then we'll be growing it continuously as we hammer out issues and are ready to deploy it to a larger group. We'll be granting access to players in the order that they pre-ordered (http://www.naturalselection2.com/buy). We're also hard at work on the NS2 alpha - the results of this engine test will make sure it works great when we release the alpha to all the Special Edition pre-orderers.


so I can only assume an alpha is coming within the next month or two.

still its way overdate don't you think. A year ago they said they would release the game. Now more then a year have past and where not even in pre alpha stage. Its seems like they stopped working on the game for a while or so. There not telling us something.

New update. Some interesting points to take from this video. First, camera view inside of gorge looks awesome, the belly slide is amazing, and the fade shadow at the end puts a nice little twist.
